Our Extended Family
Come meet the rest of Thunder Run Ranch's "family"
Meet Roger, the barn guardian. Roger was a triplet who was rejected by his mother and hand-raised in Sharon's kitchen. Having grown up with the dogs, he does not believe he is a goat. The barn is his stomping ground and he will let everyone who comes to visit know this very quickly!

Sharon's daughter, Beth, and Max, a 15 year old quarter horse gelding who is a lifelong resident at Thunder Run. Beth, a high school junior, loves jumping and is working toward a scholarship at Texas A & M. Together, these two have shown in 4-H shows, winning Hi-Point in Beth's age division. Max has also competed in quadrille and is a superb trail ride mount.

Rosebud, now 23 years old, was Beth's present on her third birthday. The two of them competed actively in 4-H for several years. Rosebud was shown in all events, from western pleasure to barrel racing. Only 12 hands high, he usually competed against full sized horses, often placing above them. He has won numerous ribbons and trophies, including Champion Halter Horse, Champion Western Pleasure and Champion Pole Bender. Some of the trophies he brought home were nearly as tall as he is. Now retired, he serves as the farm mascot.
Mr. Goose. There used to be two, but Mr. Goose's mate is no longer with us. Forever cranky, this fellow has free run of the place. This is his domain and he isn't afraid to let everyone know they are on his grounds.

One of the newer additions to the Thunder Run family, this pup, named Winston, was found dumped on the side of a highway with two other puppies. It was estimated that the three puppies were 8 week old litter mates. The other two boys also found homes shortly after being rescued by Sharon. This picture was snapped by Anna Twinney, who later confessed that she was trying to figure out a way to smuggle the little fellow onto the plane so she could take him home.
This little guy was found all alone at a neighboring farm. We took him in, as we do all baby animals, and raised him on a bottle. Named Sun, he is now a big yellow ball of energy, spending his days chasing leaves and climbing trees.

Cammie is a beautiful Springer Spaniel who chose to live here. She actually jumped in the truck at a nearby store. No one knew anything about her, nor did anyone ever try to find her. Here she is taking a nap after a hard day of chasing birds. This pretty little lady is loyal, affectionate, loves cats and is an excellent watchdog.
