Rehabilitation: This includes horses recovering from injuries that may need daily treatment of some kind or horses that have recovered from an injury and need light training to prepare them for the more intense schedule that will ready them for races. $20.00 per day.
Sales Preps: This is a very time consuming task that takes a great deal of work to have a horse in top shape for a sale. $30 per day.
Starting Under Saddle: I do not like to use the old term of "breaking" because that's not what we do. Youngsters are handled carefully and taught their lessons slowly so that they fully understand what is expected of them. This is probably the most dangerous time for handlers due to unpredictable reactions of young horses. $35.00 per day.
Race Training: This is the time to really 'get down to business'. Unraced horses need hours of schooling and preparation for their first race, if they are to be expected to be competitive. This includes frequent trips to the track for workouts and learning what the starting gate is all about. $45.00 per day.
Reschooling: Some horses that are rushed along in their early training or raced too often can become sour. This delicate situation can be remedied with time and careful handling. $35.00 per day.
